MONDAY to FRIDAY : 2:00pm to 6:00pm each day.
The Ballydehob Community Afterschool and Homework Club has been running successfully since 2003 and we are delighted to be able to offer this service to the community.
Available to all children of primary school age from inside or outside the area, our safe and friendly environment gives the children a great opportunity to relax and enjoy each others company. The activities organised by our Afterschool Leader and Childcare Assistant ensure that young minds are kept pleasantly active and entertained.
- Large, airy and colourful playroom
- Kitchen for cookery with the children
- Games, art, books, play, music and films
- Quiet corner, jigsaws, building, creative activities, painting and playdough
When the weather is good we don’t miss an opportunity for some outside exercise as well, and this is when our external grass and play areas come into their own.
Creativity and Development
Our working philosophy is that all we do should encourage the social, physical, emotional and intellectual well-being of the children who attend. Fun activities and creative play are central to this programme and to the on-going development of the children.
Our qualified care staff organise activities according to age and development stage, encourage group involvement, and are highly tuned to the needs of the children. Homework supervision, tidy up time, and an emphasis on caring for equipment instill a sense of responsibility, and help to prepare your child for their future school life.
Please contact us if you would like to enrol your child for our afterschool service.
